TheraBounce’s in-person Therapeutic Trampolining course is designed to teach rehabilitation and trampolining professionals how to safely and purposefully use a full-sized trampoline as a therapeutic tool with children and adults with disabilities and diverse support needs.

Therapeutic trampolining is much more than simply bouncing. The course explores how the unique properties of the trampoline can be used to support strength, balance, coordination, postural control, motor development, cardiovascular fitness, body awareness, sensory regulation, and meaningful participation.

The course combines theoretical learning with practical application and includes:

  • Trampoline safety, contraindications, precautions, and risk management

  • The therapeutic effects of bouncing and movement

  • Vestibular and proprioceptive input and their role in regulation and body awareness

  • Strength, balance, coordination, postural control, and motor development

  • Supported and independent trampoline activities

  • Positioning, handling, and adaptations for individuals with different physical and developmental abilities

  • Progressing and modifying activities based on the individual's response

  • Clinical reasoning, goal setting, and purposeful session planning

  • Strategies for creating engaging, accessible, and inclusive trampoline experiences
